UP in the Streets

UP In the Streets works outside of prison walls to provide books and resource materials to those in homeless shelters. Often the step before prison is homelessness, unemployment, and poverty.

UP with Books

UP with Books is a reading and literacy campaign for children with mothers in prison.

Today, over 250,000 women are incarcerated in the United States, and 2.7 million children under the age of eighteen have a parent in prison.
